This website, like so many others, spends a lot of time telling you that things are getting worse. For the first post of The Luddite's second year, let's do something different. Here's a website that asks you, the internet, a simple question: Are they? Are things actually getting worse? At midnight, every day, it'll tally up the votes and let you know what you've decided.

The last post asked you all for feedback (a huge thank you to everyone who wrote in!). One thing we heard is that The Luddite can be a bit bleak. Honestly, that probably won't change, but that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun with it. Here's an attempt to do just that! These kinds of simple, concept websites are easy and fun to make. The internet used to have more of them. I have nostalgia for stumbling upon them, way back in those days, when the internet wasn't almost entirely composed of 5 websites surrounded by blogspam.
Let us know if you like this kind of thing, or even if you have any suggestions or ideas for more things like it. Maybe we don't know how to make the world less bleak, but we do have some ideas for how to make the internet more fun.
